Experimental Evaluation of Apple Drying Process In A Fluidized Bed Dryer

Isam AH Al Zubaidi1*, Mohammed Al Zubaidi1 and Mustafa Al-Zubaidi1

The drying rate of apple cubes was determined to utilize the shallow fluidized bed dryer. The drying process was performed at different drying temperatures and an air velocity of 3.1 m/s. The mass of apple cubes was measured every 5 minutes along with the wet and dry bulb temperatures and the dimension of apple cube sample. This procedure was continued until a steady state was reached. This study made available PDF
